Vertical Infiltration application, Nelson Bay Australia
This job was completed in January 2005 and is one of the best examples of land remediation via Atlantis systems.
It consists of Atlantis® D-Raintank® Tank Modules being used both horizontally and vertically to capture and infiltrate excess water from surface runoff.
The Atlantis® D-Raintank® Tank Modules were first wrapped in geotextile to make 36 ft long "wicks" that would be dropped into pre-bored holes.
Another layer of Atlantis® D-Raintank® Tank Modules wrapped in geotextile was placed over the top of these "wicks" to channel the water into them.
A layer of Atlantis® Heavy Duty Drainage Cells was placed on top of the wicks to aid infiltration.
